We first started using Nicci Meadows' visiting orthopaedic service Provetsurg in July 2015. Clients are delighted with us being able to offer in house orthopaedics and no longer needing to be referred further afield. Clients are also pleased that our own vets and nurses that already know their pets are on hand to care for them all through the procedures and recovery. Nancy and I pride ourselves on the level of care, communication and empathy our staff deliver to our clients and patients on a daily basis, and Nicci and her fellow surgeons feel like one of own staff in the manner in which they deal with our clients and their pets. Orthopaedic surgeries can be challenging, and we have seen successful outcomes in a range of cases from 2kg Chihuahuas to over 50kg Rottweilers.

As Provetsurg expands and now employs additional surgeons to ensure availability for emergency and more pressing cases, we have found the process of setting up consultations and operations really straightforward. We currently provide a veterinary nurse to work alongside the visiting surgeon, but if staffing levels are under pressure Provetsurgery can also provide a visiting nurse to assist for the surgery. Nicci and her colleagues had been providing orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical services and expertise for us for years now. Our patients and owners definitely appreciate the continuity of care in familiar surroundings and the surgical work has been of an excellent standard, their communications have been great too which is really important and the feedback from our clients has all been very positive.

We have been using Nicci Meadow’s orthopaedic service since our clinic opened in 2016 and cannot recommend her highly enough. The team of surgeons are highly skilled and very approachable with great client rapport. Our clients appreciate not having to travel with their pets for the surgery, and waiting times tend to be a lot shorter than those of our local referral centres. Follow up checks are done by our own vets which means pets see a familiar face and is more relaxing for both owner and patient.

Nicci is always available for advice on orthopaedic cases reviewing our radiographs and gets back to us very promptly. This allows us to offer our clients an optimal level of service. We would highly recommend ProVetSurg.
